The body of a Navy frigate crew member who went missing near the Northern Limit Line (NLL) in the East Sea on the 12th was discovered approximately one day after the disappearance.

In a press notice on the 13th, the Navy stated, "At 5:58 a.m. today, we discovered and recovered the body of the Navy sailor who went missing from an East Sea patrol vessel yesterday, at a location 52 km east of Geojin-eup, Goseong-gun, East Sea."

The Navy, in coordination with the Coast Guard, had been conducting a search for the missing person by deploying over 10 vessels and several aircraft.

The missing sailor, who was aboard a Navy frigate performing patrol duties about 50 km east of Geojin-eup, Goseong-gun, was reportedly last seen by a watchstander conducting an internal patrol of the ship between midnight and 2:00 a.m. the previous day.

It is reported that the disappearance was realized at 8:00 a.m. when the sailor failed to show up for their scheduled duty shift.

Considering that the location of the disappearance was in waters near the NLL, the military also notified the North Korean side of the incident through channels such as the international merchant ship communication network, which can be received by North Korea.

It's strange that he went missing on a naval vessel with thorough safety equipment,
And yet, he jumped into the sea at midnight to defect to North Korea?
In any case, it's a mystery. There must be a thorough investigation comparable to that of the late Marine Corporal Chae, who died in the line of duty.
The leftists endlessly agitated about Corporal Chae, who died in an accident during normal service, to the point of causing the arrest of a division commander.
