The Iranian government announced on the 22nd (local time) that 53 people have been killed so far in the U.S. airstrikes, which have continued for 12 days.


Hossein Kermansapour, head of the public relations office at the Ministry of Health and Medical Education, wrote on X (formerly Twitter) that "as of today, 53 people have lost their lives and 592 have been injured due to the U.S. airstrikes."


Among the casualties, the fatalities included six women and three minors under the age of 18, while the injured included 39 women and 23 minors.


Kermansapour added, "Of the injured, 535 have completed treatment and been discharged, while 36 remain hospitalized. The remaining 21 received emergency aid on-site."
