Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon (left) and People Power Party Floor Leader Jeong Jeom-sik are sharing a whisper. [Photo=Yonhap News]
Lately, there has been a strange atmosphere circulating within and around the People Power Party (PPP) regarding abolishing the current party leader system to create a party centered around the floor leader.
The excuse these people are making is that they want to avoid complex conflicts between the party leader and the floor leader and pursue a party centered on National Assembly members. How can one speak of "avoiding conflict" when the roles of the party leader and the floor leader are distinctly different?
In short, isn't this a plan to remove the party leader who was elected with the support of party members and the public, allowing the floor leader elected by incumbent assembly members to take the lead and manipulate the party at their own will, ignoring the voices of the members and the people?
If this happens, the party members will lose their right to elect leadership while still being forced to pay party dues. Furthermore, it means creating a dictatorial party where the floor leader alone holds all authority, including the management of local assemblies and the power to nominate candidates.
Simply put, this is a move by the traitors embedded in the PPP and those who benefited from the June 3 fraudulent election to remove Representative Jang Dong-hyeok—who is standing with patriots at Olympic Park—and usurp the party power.
In particular, Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon, who was re-elected, has taken the lead in abolishing the PPP's party leader system. It seems Oh views Representative Jang Dong-hyeok, who advocates for a re-election alongside patriots, as a stumbling block in his path.
Oh Se-hoon appears to be simultaneously working on building a base of supporters within the party for his next presidential bid.
That is why Oh is working hard to realize his agenda by holding a series of meetings with senior members such as five-term lawmakers Yoon Sang-hyun and Kim Ki-hyeon, Floor Leader Jeong Jeom-sik, and three-term lawmaker Ahn Cheol-soo.
On top of that, Floor Leader Jeong Jeom-sik, acting as if he already controls the party, has met with New Reform Party leader Lee Jun-seok to discuss current issues, signaling his participation in the effort to remove Representative Jang Dong-hyeok.
The over one million members of the PPP must purge the party of these filthy traitors who disregard the rights and opinions of the members and are trying to oust the party leader.
Who are Oh Se-hoon, Yoon Sang-hyun, or Jeong Jeom-sik to ignore one million party members and decide to abolish the party leader system as they please?
Even citizens who are not PPP members must join in condemning and correcting these traitors within the party so they can no longer engage in such malicious acts.
Of course, while Oh Se-hoon received a sentencing recommendation equivalent to the nullification of his election in the June 3 vote during his first trial on July 22, we cannot let our guard down as long as he intends to appeal.
In fact, if Mayor Oh Se-hoon had honestly demanded a re-election together with the people, he could have faced the results of this trial with confidence. And how much more would the public have supported his future?
However, all consequences are self-inflicted for these traitors—what goes around comes around.

Blinded by brief power, they do not walk the right path, the correct path, only mouthing the word "people" and engaging in crafty politics and collusive politics for their own benefit. Such individuals must be absolutely excluded in the next general election. "Even if I hate you, once more?" We must never do something like this again.
What is all this!
Why aren't the elder gentlemen scolding them?
There is no leader!
