People Power Party lawmaker Na Kyung-won has issued a scathing criticism, linking allegations of election commission computer manipulation, the court's rejection of search warrants, and the Democratic Party's push for the Criminal Procedure Act amendment, describing the situation as "the worst-case scenario where the rule of law and democracy in the Republic of Korea are being simultaneously insulted."

On her Facebook page on the 26th, Rep. Na stated, "While the Democratic Party is pushing forward legislation to completely abolish the prosecution's direct and supplementary investigation powers to complete their own narrative, they are obstructing the launch of a special counsel to investigate the National Election Commission's (NEC) infringement on voting rights and its atrocious computer manipulation, which have shaken the very foundations of the nation."

Furthermore, Rep. Na strongly condemned the conduct of the NEC, noting that evidence of real-time voter count manipulation—which recently emerged during the investigation—has been detected not only in the Gyeonggi region but also in the Chungcheong region.

She defined the actions as a serious "crime of destroying the constitutional order," stating, "They showed the audacity to input 100 people as 1,000, then dispersed the 900 extra people across nine nearby polling stations to make the fake numbers fit." She added that this goes beyond simple dereliction of duty, constituting clear "forgery of official electronic records" and "obstruction of official duties" under the Criminal Act.

Regarding the court's rejection of search warrants for core evidence (messenger and email records) that show NEC employees conspiring to "hide this from superiors and just make the numbers match," she heightened her criticism, saying, "The judiciary has taken the lead in granting criminals time to destroy evidence and manipulate data, essentially opening an escape route for them."

She sharply remarked, "It is like the government forces who are supposed to catch thieves helping the thieves hide their ledgers," adding, "This is why there is criticism that the judiciary and the NEC are acting as one body." She argued that this rejection of the warrants is, in itself, a clear reason why a special counsel is necessary.

Rep. Na asserted that the Democratic Party must be completely excluded from the formation of this special counsel to investigate the NEC.

She argued that the Democratic Party, which has acted as a shield by dismissing every指摘 regarding the NEC's systemic corruption as a "conspiracy theory," would create a serious conflict of interest and obstruct the investigation if it were to participate in recommending special counsel members.

In addition, she demanded a high-intensity, comprehensive verification regarding the scope of the special counsel's investigation. For an investigation without sanctuaries, Rep. Na insisted that the scope must not be limited to superficial, "tail-cutting" investigations in a few regions, but should be drastically expanded to include the entire computer logs of the central NEC servers and past elections as a whole.

In other words, she argued that verification and technical audits of access and modification logs, counting system algorithms, source codes, and counting logic are essential, and that the contractual relationships with outsourced companies must be thoroughly scrutinized.
