The People Power Party filed a complaint with the police on the 2nd against Moon Jung-ki, the special prosecutor investigating allegations related to First Lady Kim Keon-hee, and Chae Hee-man, the chief investigator of the special prosecution team, on charges of abuse of power and others.

The People Power Party claims that the search and seizure of the party's membership registry by the Moon Jung-ki special prosecution team on the 19th of last month, for the purpose of investigating the recruitment of members who are members of the Unification Church, was illegal.

Choi Bo-yoon, the senior spokesperson, stated after submitting the complaint to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, "The search and seizure warrant stated that voluntary submission takes precedence, but the special prosecution team did not comply with this."

Previously, Jang Dong-hyuk, the party leader, had announced the complaint, stating, "I am confident that the execution of the search and seizure warrant was illegal as it differed from the contents specified in the warrant."
