Yong-sul Jo, spokesperson for the People Power Party, stated in a press release on the same day, "A response that aligns with common sense would be to rescue victims first and protect the lives of citizens."

He continued, "The Lee Jae-myung administration, in its haste for achievements, repatriated the detained suspects in Cambodia by chartered plane, rather than rescuing victims. Among them are individuals subject to red notices, the highest level of international wanted status for those accused of violent crimes. Bringing them back quickly should not be packaged as an achievement of 'citizen protection'."

He added, "Do not package non-urgent achievements as swift responses, but immediately implement practical measures for victim rescue. Who is behind the criminal organization that is causing this delayed response? The patience of the people has reached its limit."
