People Power Party Floor Leader Song Eon-seok claimed that the government's 'Constitution Respect Government Innovation TF (Task Force)' to investigate public officials' involvement in illegal activities related to the December 3rd emergency martial law is like "North Korean-style self-criticism and communist-style mutual surveillance."

At a policy coordination meeting held at the National Assembly on the 14th, Floor Leader Song stated, "The government is installing 'Constitution Destruction Rebellion Incitement TF' in the Prime Minister's Office and 49 central administrative agencies to surveil public officials, and is establishing reporting centers in each agency to have civil servants monitor each other."

He added, "They say they will look into PCs, written documents, and even mobile phones of civil servants from all ministries, and that refusing to submit mobile phones will result in suspension from office." He questioned, "I don't know under what authority they are doing this."

Furthermore, he asserted, "The so-called 'Rebellion Incitement TF' is a clearly unconstitutional and illegal body." He concluded, "The People Power Party will review the unconstitutionality and illegality of this TF, take corresponding legal measures, and do its best to protect the human rights of public officials and citizens by establishing reporting and tip-off centers."
