“The president we elected is too friendly towards North Korea, the primary enemy of the Republic of Korea, and is a criminal currently facing five trials.”

On the 18th, Kim Moon-soo, former Minister of Employment and Labor, who competed against Lee Jae-myung in the last presidential election, posted on Facebook, targeting the current president.

“A nation's two most fundamental roles are national defense and security to prevent external threats, and law enforcement to prevent crime,” Kim began, before continuing with strong criticism, stating, “The sole highest and ultimate responsible party for the Daejang-dong crime is him.”

“According to the 'Urban Development Act,' the only person clearly responsible for designating Daejang-dong as an urban development zone, establishing and notifying the plan, designating and supervising Kim Man-bae and his associates as the project implementers, and conducting the completion inspection and announcement is ‘Lee Jae-myung, Mayor of Seongnam’.”

Listing the events that occurred during Lee Jae-myung's tenure as Mayor of Seongnam, Kim criticized, “Our citizens are experiencing an unprecedented event in world history where the criminal Lee Jae-myung is even pushing to pass a ‘law to abolish the Prosecutor's Office’.”

Kim’s post came amidst the prosecution's “decision to waive appeal in the Daejang-dong case,” and the Facebook comments section became heated, with many calling for the “recovery of 781.4 billion won.”

Kim continued by asking, “What truly is a nation?” and concluded, “Can it still be called the ‘Democratic Party’ when a criminal president claims to be the elected power himself, attempts to reform the courts to suit criminals, seeks to abolish the Prosecutor's Office, and even wants to look into the cell phones of public officials?”

Meanwhile, on the 1st of this month, Kim also expressed his frustrations on Facebook under the title, “Elected to office is guiltless, defeated is guilty. Is this the rule of law?”

“Lee Jae-myung, who was elected president, has indefinitely postponed all five of his ongoing trials. Conversely, I, who was defeated, received a notice urging compliance with the Public Official Election Act from the National Election Commission on May 20th. Due to a belated complaint filed by the Democratic Party, I am once again being investigated by the police and have ultimately been sent to the prosecution. Is this not extremely biased political retaliation?”

Kim was given a warning similar to an admonishment by the National Election Commission on May 2nd, while he was a preliminary candidate for the 21st presidential election, for handing out business cards with his name on them to voters at the Suseo Station of GTX-A.

Under the Public Official Election Act, preliminary candidates are prohibited from distributing business cards in areas such as ticket gates at stations, terminals, and airports.

Despite having already received a warning, the Democratic Party filed a complaint against Kim. On the 30th of last month, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Public Crime Investigation Unit sent him to the prosecution on charges of violating the Public Official Election Act, without detention.
