The People Power Party on the 13th launched an offensive regarding President Lee Jae-myung's directive to conduct a full inspection of books at airports to prevent the smuggling of currency abroad by hiding it within books, stating, "This is the method used in the Ssangbangwool North Korea remittance case."

Chairman Jang Dong-hyuk wrote on Facebook that day, referring to the Ssangbangwool North Korea remittance case in relation to President Lee, "I found the sudden, minute directive to be strange, but I heard that smuggling foreign currency by using it as a bookmark is the method used in the 'Ssangbangwool North Korea remittance case'." He added, "No matter how much he feigns ignorance, claiming it has nothing to do with him, his body already remembered it."

He pointed out that President Lee had reprimanded Lee Hak-jae, the president of Incheon International Airport Corporation, who was appointed by the Yoon Suk-yeol administration, stating, "He is essentially confessing his own criminal method by mindlessly disparaging the president appointed by the previous administration."

Rep. Na Kyung-won also posted on SNS, "Why did President Lee specifically fixate on 'smuggling dollars as bookmarks' among the numerous smuggling methods and persistently dwell on it?" She questioned, "Could it be a manifestation of 'Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)' where his subconscious, linked to his judicial risks, erupted and he ended up targeting an innocent public corporation executive?"

Former Chairman Han Dong-hoon retorted, "It seems his instinct of 'I know because I've done it' was triggered in the process of publicly humiliating the president appointed by the previous administration to install his own appointee, but is that something to be proud of?"

Meanwhile, Reform Party Chairman Lee Jun-seok commented on President Lee's question to Park Ji-hyang, chairperson of the Northeast Asian History Foundation, during a business report the previous day, asking if the Hwandangogi was "a document." He stated, "The Hwandangogi is a forgery. It does not appear in any records prior to 1911, modern Japanese Sino-Japanese words appear in ancient records, and it directly contradicts archaeological evidence." He expressed concern for South Korea, saying, "After a president who believes in election fraud, we now have a president who believes in the Hwandangogi."
