People Power Party leader Jang Dong-hyuk criticized President Lee Jae-myung on the 3rd for repeatedly issuing messages targeting multi-homeowners, asking, "Are the high tariff barriers (in the U.S.) and the life-or-death struggle for second place within the party so dire that the only easy target to redirect that anger is the middle class that owns homes?"

Jang said on Facebook that day, "Mr. President, you seem quite impatient these days."

He added, "I am currently lacking in strength due to the after-effects of my hunger strike, making it difficult to counter the bold delusion that the real estate market can be manipulated at your will just because stocks have risen a bit," and "I am in awe of that miraculous logic. I will now withdraw from this wasteful verbal spat."

He continued, "I will witness firsthand with the public the outcome of this fundamental social experiment, to what extent the president's sword dance of 'oppressing the strong and helping the weak' and his vision of a great harmonious society will shake the lives of the middle class," and "When the great waves of the market crash upon your feet, I hope you will refrain from blaming others, such as 'legislative inadequacy.'"
