On the 14th, the first day of candidate registration for the June 3 local elections, the People Power Party targeted public sentiment by highlighting the judgment of the Lee Jae-myung administration in the central and metropolitan areas.

Jang Dong-hyuk, the party leader and standing election committee chairman, at the launching ceremony for Choi Min-ho, candidate for Sejong Mayor, held in Sejong that day, praised Choi, who is running for re-election, stating, "Since Sejong City was founded, he has shown exceptional abilities as the first Sejong Mayor from the People Power Party over the past four years."

He then listed the issues being pursued by the ruling party, such as the special prosecutor bill for the cancellation of indictments and the disciplinary request for prosecutor Park Sang-yong by the Supreme Prosecutors' Office, and criticized the government and the ruling party, saying, "In this election, we must protect Sejong City, but more importantly, we must protect the Republic of Korea. The Democratic Party is tearing down the pillars of the Republic of Korea and even taking away the rafters."

While mentioning prosecutor Park in this process, he took out a "Cucdass" cookie from his pocket and said, "They say they fed him this snack and obtained a false confession. I will give you this, take it to Jeon Jae-soo and ask him if he received a Cartier watch, and take it to Jeong Won-oh and ask him about the facts of his assault record," he fiercely criticized.

This is interpreted as an effort to question the appropriateness of the "provision of food" cited by the Supreme Prosecutors' Office as grounds for Park's disciplinary request, while also highlighting the suspicions surrounding the Democratic Party's candidates for Seoul and Busan, which the People Power Party claims.

In addition to Chairman Jang, the event was attended by Kim Min-soo, co-chairman of the election committee, lawmakers Im Yi-ja and Kang Seung-kyu, and former Chungnam Governor Shim Dae-pyeong, a senior figure.

Song Eon-seok, co-chairman of the People Power Party's election committee, attended the opening ceremony of the election office for Yang Hyang-ja, candidate for Gyeonggi Governor, held in Suwon that day to offer support.

He praised candidate Yang, saying, "We already have an economic governor candidate who understands advanced industries, semiconductors, and artificial intelligence and has designed the future direction for Gyeonggi Province," and criticized Democratic Party candidate Choo Mi-ae, asking, "Does someone who led the destruction of the judiciary while serving as chairman of the Legislation and Judiciary Committee have the qualifications to be governor?"

Kim Moon-soo, former Minister of Employment and Labor and standing general election committee chairman for candidate Yang's campaign, also raised his voice, saying, "The Gyeonggi Governor election is the biggest election after the presidential election. Please judge the Lee Jae-myung administration and the gang of thieves with each of your votes."

At the opening ceremony that day, co-chairmen of the election committee Jeong Jeong-sik, Cho Gwang-han, and Shin Dong-wook, Deputy Floor Leader Yoo Sang-beom, lawmakers Na Kyung-won, Ahn Cheol-soo, Song Seok-jun, and Kim Eun-hye, and former party leader Hwang Woo-yea also attended, emphasizing a unified front.
