Kim Hyun-tae, head of the Korea-US Alliance Association, is running as an independent candidate in the by-election for the National Assembly in Gyeyang-eul, Incheon. An opening ceremony for his election office was held on the 17th. 

At the opening ceremony, CEO Jeon Han-gil stated, "Thanks to the interest in candidate Kim Hyun-tae, Gyeyang-eul is gaining national attention." He added, "True soldier Kim Hyun-tae started a YouTube channel, and in just five days, he gained 80,000 subscribers and millions of views," urging attendees to share this news with their parents.

He continued, "Candidate Kim Hyun-tae has already surpassed being a mere local constituency candidate; he represents the top position in all of Incheon."

Candidate Kim Hyun-tae declared, "I registered as a candidate in Gyeyang-eul to eradicate anti-national forces that threaten our future." He pleaded, "Join me in becoming the protagonists of history who will revive liberal democracy and the rule of law."

The opening ceremony was a resounding success, attended by numerous supporters, including CEO Jeon Han-gil, campaign chairman Yoo Dong-gyu, PD Lee Young-don, lawyer Lee Ha-sang, Joo Ok-soon, representative of the Korean Mothers' Brigade, Kim Jin-il, supreme council member of Freedom and Innovation, and actor Choi Jun-yong.
