A video of Soltani, who participated in the Iranian pro-democracy movement, being publicly hanged by a crane was uploaded to various social media platforms on the 17th. 

Three days after the U.S. CBS broadcast reported on the 14th (local time) that the execution of 26-year-old Erfan Soltani, who was sentenced to death for participating in anti-government protests in Iran, had been postponed, a video suspected to be of his hanging appeared on social media platforms like Instagram. 

In the video, immediately after a young man who appears to be Soltani responded to the cheers of the crowd, security forces placed a sack over his face, and then a rope was placed around his neck. The video stopped at this point.
