Lee Jung-hoo (San Francisco Giants), playing in Major League Baseball (MLB), has extended his personal MLB record for most consecutive games with a hit to 13.

On June 6th (Korean time), Lee Jung-hoo started as the right fielder and No. 5 hitter in the Giants' away game against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field in Chicago, Illinois. He recorded one hit in four at-bats, was hit by a pitch once, and scored one run.

His season batting average slightly decreased to 0.321 (68 hits in 212 at-bats) from 0.322.

Lee Jung-hoo's only hit of the day was an extra-base hit.

In the 5th inning with runners on first, Lee Jung-hoo hit his 14th double of the season against right-handed pitcher Phil Maytan, continuing his consecutive game hitting streak.

In the 6th inning, he was hit by a pitch from pitcher Hoby Milner, completing his multi-on-base performance. He then scored a run on Matt Chapman's subsequent home run.

In his other at-bats, he grounded out, including one strikeout.

Meanwhile, the San Francisco Giants' offense exploded for 19 hits, including 7 home runs, overwhelming the Cubs' pitching staff.

Starting with Willy Adames' two-run homer in the 1st inning, Chapman's grand slam and Casey Schmitt's two-run homer in the 4th inning quickly put them in control of the game.

Adames, Chapman, and Schmitt each hit two home runs in the game, performing exceptionally well. In the 9th inning, Jonah Cox also joined the home run barrage.

With explosive offense, scoring 6 runs in the 4th and 7 runs in the 6th, San Francisco convincingly defeated the Cubs 18-3.

Song Sung-moon, playing for the San Diego Padres, appeared in his first game in three appearances but could not capitalize on the opportunity.

Song Sung-moon started as the second baseman and No. 8 hitter in the Padres' game against the New York Mets at Petco Park in San Diego, California. He went hitless in three at-bats. His season batting average dropped to 0.138 (4 hits in 29 at-bats).

The San Diego lineup managed only three scattered hits and failed to score, losing 0-5 and falling into a six-game losing streak.

Kim Ha-seong, playing for the Atlanta Braves, was absent from the game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Mauricio Dubón, who started at shortstop in place of Kim Ha-seong, had a strong performance with his 6th home run of the season, two hits, and three RBIs in four at-bats, leading the team to a 6-3 victory. (Yonhap News)
