In a statement, the White House stated that Vice President Vance would not depart for Switzerland that evening.

Vice President Vance had planned to visit Switzerland to lead follow-up negotiations related to Iran's denuclearization and sanctions relief, which were scheduled for the 19th.

"The plans for working-level talks are not yet finalized," said a White House spokesperson. "The practical coordination of such negotiations has never been easy or predictable."

However, the U.S. negotiation delegation is ready to depart as soon as possible, and the White House emphasized, "We look forward to starting working-level talks as quickly as possible."

Iran's Tasnim News also reported that "nothing has been confirmed" regarding the Iranian delegation's visit to Switzerland, according to AFP.

In relation to this, reports emerged that the Iranian delegation postponed its visit to Switzerland, citing Israel's continued attacks on Lebanon despite the ceasefire agreement between the U.S. and Iran.

Lebanon's Al Mayadeen TV, affiliated with the pro-Iranian armed group Hezbollah in Lebanon, reported this, citing sources, and stated, "The Iranian delegation was preparing to depart for the first meeting according to the 60-day negotiation process, but ultimately decided to postpone the visit."

These sources indicated that Iran has informed the U.S. and mediating countries that the issue of Lebanon will be a key criterion in deciding whether to continue or suspend negotiations.

Furthermore, these sources said that Iran warned that Israel's military operations extending up to 10 km into Lebanese territory is a clear violation of the ceasefire memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the U.S. and Iran.

There were also reports that Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, a mediator between the U.S. and Iran, also postponed his planned visit to Switzerland.

Initially, the U.S. delegation and Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, were scheduled to meet on the 19th at the Swiss resort of Bürgenstock to discuss the details of the ceasefire agreement.

The previous day, the presidents of the U.S. and Iran signed an MOU agreeing to open the Strait of Hormuz and lift the maritime blockade against Iran, and to hold follow-up negotiations for 60 days on Iran's denuclearization and sanctions relief.

The Swiss talks were planned as working-level negotiations to finalize the specific implementation measures for sensitive issues such as the nuclear problem and sanctions relief within the contents of the MOU signed by both sides. However, the start of the negotiations has been somewhat delayed due to the postponement of Vice President Vance's departure.

Vice President Vance had previously stated at a White House press conference that day, "The 60-day negotiation period, according to the agreement with Iran, officially began today."

Based on this, the 60-day negotiations must be concluded by August 16th.
