Under the Kim Jong-un era, the concept of 'South Korea is the same people' has been eliminated, and the phrase "We are one" was removed long ago. Is there any reason why only North Korea should use the slogan "We are one" and South Korea should not? [YouTube capture]
While cursing is certainly not appropriate, I am compelled to speak out due to sheer frustration.
The reason I am writing is that at a protest site in Olympic Park, a patriot created fans and distributed them to fellow patriots who had come out on a hot day. However, a conflict arose among the same group because of these fans.
Specifically, one side of the fan read "By-election" and the other side read "We are one." It is said that some individuals appeared and, as if they had made a grand discovery, declared that the phrase "We are one" is a directive from North Korea and therefore should not be used, leading to a chaotic scene.
Seeing this, the old saying "He who has been bitten by a snake is startled even by a pot lid" comes to mind. In a nutshell, it's a saying that mocks fools.
I have lived in North Korea for 50 years.
In North Korea, the phrase "Joseon is one" is used, but the phrase "We are one" is rarely used.
It is true that during Kim Jong-il's time, the South Korean liaison office used slogans like "We are one people" and "We are one" as a rallying cry for the naive leftists in South Korea to drive out the US military.
However, under the Kim Jong-un era, the concept of 'South Korea is the same people' has been eliminated, and the phrase "We are one" was removed long ago.
Given this, is it even logical for Kim Jong-un to suddenly issue a directive to use the slogan "We are one" at a protest against election fraud, rather than an anti-American protest?
If such a directive from Kim Jong-un had truly been issued in South Korea, would leftists have gathered in a small group of only a few hundred people, distributing a few fans and engaging in such foolish behavior? This is truly unacceptable.
I suspect that the very people making such claims are spies attempting to divide the conservative right-wing forces in South Korea. If not, I believe they are acting foolishly to try and inflate their own perceived importance and demand higher compensation.
Furthermore, is there any reason why South Korea should not use the slogan "We are one" simply because North Korea uses it? Is this not the time for all patriotic forces in South Korea to unite and put an end to election fraud? South Korean conservatives should also fight against the leftists, holding up the banner of "We are one."
Also, the slogan "We are one" is a fundamental slogan of the Shincheonji Church in Korea. Shincheonji chants "We are one" at every event. Does this mean Shincheonji is also a group acting under North Korean directives?
To reiterate, it is now time for conservative groups to unite for the common purpose of defending the nation, rather than dividing themselves into factions over issues like Yoon's government or fighting election fraud. They must unite and speak out together.
Patriots, please awaken and do not be deceived and dragged around by strange individuals once again.
