The Liberal Writers Association will host its 1st Special Lecture on Friday, July 3rd, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Room 535, Doosan We've Pavilion, 81 Sambong-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul.
The theme of this lecture is 'The Age of AI and Creativity,' featuring writer Kim Sung-min.
With the recent rapid advancement of generative artificial intelligence, the landscape of writing and artistic creation is changing quickly. This session will be an opportunity to reflect on the roles human writers must play in an era where AI can produce novels, columns, poems, and even music, as well as the significance of the emotions and creativity unique to humans.
The lecture will explore how to utilize AI as a new tool rather than a competitor in the creative process, and examine through various case studies why human experience, emotion, and philosophical reflection will become increasingly important competitive advantages in the future.
Furthermore, the event will feature a broad discussion on new writing strategies required in the AI era, survival methods for creators, shifts in the publishing and content industries, and the competencies that writers must equip themselves with moving forward.
Jeong Gwang-je, Secretary-General of the Liberal Writers Association, stated, "AI is not the end of creativity, but the beginning of a new era of creation," adding, "This will be a time for us to contemplate how technology and human sensibility can coexist."
This special lecture is open to writers, aspiring writers, and any members of the public interested in content creation using AI.
