Limited edition U.S. passport featuring President Trump's face [Captured from Truth Social]

U.S. President Donald Trump has unveiled a new limited-edition passport featuring his portrait.

On the 26th (local time), President Trump posted a photo of the passport on his Truth Social account with the caption, "The new U.S. passport, which reads 'Welcome, but be good!'"

On the left side of the limited-edition passport, President Trump is depicted with his fists clenched, frowning and staring directly ahead against the backdrop of the U.S. Declaration of Independence.

The right side features an illustration of the Founding Fathers signing the Declaration of Independence.

This passport is being issued as a limited edition this summer to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, and features a modified version of President Trump's photo from the initial draft design released by the State Department in April.

While the initial draft only included a portrait of President Trump's face, the new version shows his entire upper body.

Fox News noted that the warning message President Trump included with the passport photo comes at a time when the U.S. is tightening screening standards for foreign visitors.

The phrase "be good" is being interpreted as an explicit demand for tourists and non-immigrants to respect and abide by U.S. laws and institutions.

The State Department stated that the new limited-edition design will be issued to all U.S. citizens who apply, while supplies last.
