President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday (the 8th) that he had sent the new Air Force One to the United Kingdom so that U.S. military personnel could tour the aircraft.

On Truth Social, President Trump posted a photo of himself posing with hundreds of service members in front of the presidential plane, stating, "Just landed, and joined our new ‘Air Force One’ which was sent ahead to RAF Mildenhall, at the request of the entire Base, to show it to our great Military."

He added, "The troops were thrilled, as shown in the attached picture. The flight took place on the way back from Turkey to the United States, and the route was almost entirely on the way."

Previously, President Trump mentioned in another Truth Social post, "To honor our brave military, I decided to send the new and truly beautiful Air Force One to RAF Mildenhall in the UK to give them the opportunity to tour the aircraft," adding, "Everyone is very excited, and I thought it would be great for them to be the first to see it."

He further noted, "Taking a trip down memory lane, we are bringing the former Air Force One from Turkey to Mildenhall," and added, "It is well worth it to give our great military heroes the chance to see this beautiful new addition to our Air Force fleet!"

The new aircraft is a Boeing jet gifted to the U.S. by Qatar, and it is currently being used as an interim Air Force One while Boeing manufactures the custom presidential aircraft ordered by the White House.
