Regarding the government's economic policy, the People Power Party stated on the 11th, addressing Policy Chief Kim Yong-beom of the Presidential Office, "If the policies you designed and pushed forward have failed, taking responsibility and resigning as soon as possible is the duty of a public official with even a minimum sense of conscience."

In a commentary that day, Chief Spokesperson Choi Eun-seok said, "Who was at the forefront of designing and pushing forward both the real estate and financial market policies?"

He rebuked the Chief, saying, "In a briefing yesterday, Chief Kim announced that President Lee Jae-myung would personally preside over a grand debate on real estate policy, stating that 'the government does not assume it has all the right answers.' Where did all that confidence go, when he used to lecture the public by calling the 'three highs' (high inflation, high interest rates, and high exchange rates) the 'cost of success'?"

He further criticized the situation as "the disastrous report card of Kim Yong-beom-style economic policy," stating, "The average price of an apartment in Seoul is approaching 1.6 billion won, and the number of people struggling with rising monthly rents continues to grow. The exchange rate is stuck in the 1,500-won range, and consumer prices have soared."

Spokesperson Jo Yong-sul also released a commentary that day, arguing, "The real estate debate must be a forum for reflecting on policy failures, not a venue for tax-hike schemes," adding, "It must be a starting point to humbly listen to the voices of the people and completely re-examine all existing real estate policies from square one."
