Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chair Euisun Chung and Georgia Governor Brian P. Kemp met at the "Genesis Scottish Open" held in Scotland to discuss the status of investments in North America and ways to enhance business cooperation.

It is reported that the two sides met on Friday the 10th to discuss the achievements of their large-scale investments and future plans to expand the electric vehicle business.

Reports indicate that the meeting took place after Governor Kemp personally traveled to Scotland. This underscores the proactive stance of the Georgia state government toward Hyundai Motor Group, the largest investor in its history.

Hyundai Motor Group plans to sequentially deploy 'Atlas,' an advanced humanoid robot, into its Georgia plants. To facilitate this, the company is reportedly establishing a 'Robot Meta-plant Application Center (RMAC)' within Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA).

Meanwhile, the battery joint venture plant built with SK On in Bartow County, Georgia, with an investment of $5 billion, began its first production on this day, with the products being supplied to HMGMA located in Ellabell, Georgia.

This development is being viewed as a sign that the local electric vehicle supply chain in the United States has officially entered the final stages of completion.
