As the armed conflict between the United States and Iran over control of the Strait of Hormuz entered its fourth day on the 14th (local time), major Iranian coastal cities were hit by a series of U.S. military strikes, the state-run IRNA news agency reported, citing provincial government officials.

According to the report, key strongholds along the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz, including the provinces of Khuzestan, Hormozgan, and Bushehr, were hit in succession that afternoon.

Authorities in the southern province of Bushehr, which hosts a nuclear power plant, stated that four areas in the provincial capital of Bushehr were struck by projectiles.

The deputy governor for political and security affairs of Bushehr province said, "Four locations in Bushehr city were struck by enemy projectiles this afternoon," adding, "Today's attack is an extension of the enemy's clear violation of the ceasefire and agreements."

Several projectiles, presumed to have been fired by the U.S. military, also fell in the western region of Bandar Abbas in Hormozgan province, a military and commercial hub bordering the Strait of Hormuz.

The Hormozgan provincial government announced, "We confirmed the impact of projectiles at around 1 p.m.," adding, "Specific details, such as the scale of human casualties and facility damage, will be released in the near future."

State-run IRIB broadcasting reported that a family was killed after a U.S. projectile struck a residential area in Hormozgan province that day.

Several explosions were also heard on Qeshm Island in Hormozgan province that evening due to U.S. airstrikes, though no civilian casualties or property damage have been reported.

The provincial government stated, "Several U.S. projectiles struck Qeshm Island at 7 p.m. this evening."

The deputy governor for security in the southwestern province of Khuzestan reported, "At approximately 1:25 p.m., a location in Abadan County was struck by a projectile fired by the U.S. military. Five minutes later, U.S. projectiles also fell in the vicinity of Mahshahr."

Abadan and Mahshahr, located near the borders of Iraq and Kuwait, are hubs for Iran's core oil and petrochemical industrial facilities.

Additionally, explosions were heard in Andimeshk, Khuzestan province, that evening.
