(BEIJING = Yonhap News) Reporter Jeong Seong-jo = A delegation from South Korea's Democratic Party, including lawmaker Chu Mi-ae, visited China and discussed issues of cooperation between South Korea and China with a Chinese think tank.

According to the Charhar Institute in China on the 17th, the South Korean ruling party delegation, led by lawmaker Chu, met with Chairman Han Fangming at the Charhar Institute in Beijing on the 15th.

The Charhar Institute stated, "Both sides had an in-depth exchange of opinions on matters of mutual interest," adding, "We agreed to continue to expand and deepen cooperation, promote communication and understanding between South Korea and China under the new circumstances, and actively advance the sound development of bilateral relations between South Korea and China."

The Charhar Institute explained that the meeting on the 15th was attended by lawmaker Lee Jae-gang, Senior Vice Chairman of the Democratic Party's World Korean Democratic Council, and lawmaker Lee Byung-jin, a member of the 2025 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Special Committee, as well as other officials from the Democratic Party and the National Assembly.

The Charhar Institute also added that it arranged a schedule for the South Korean delegation to visit Chinese electric vehicle company XPeng Motors, XPeng's flying car factory, and the Beijing research institute of Huawei, China's largest telecommunications equipment company.
