On Tuesday, the 21st, concentrated downpours are expected during the morning commute, primarily in the central region, including the Seoul metropolitan area.

As the stationary front remains over the central region, monsoon rains are expected to continue for the time being. Depending on the position of the front, rain will be concentrated in the central region, while many areas in the southern region will experience lulls.

In Incheon and northern Gyeonggi Province, very heavy rain of 50–80 mm per hour is expected from late dawn through the morning on the 21st. Rain intensity of 30–50 mm per hour may also occur during the morning.

In Seoul, southern Gyeonggi Province, and the Five West Sea Islands, rainfall of 30–50 mm per hour is expected in the morning, with 20–30 mm per hour forecast from morning through the afternoon.

For Gangwon Province, heavy rain of 30–50 mm per hour is expected in the northern inland areas from early dawn through the morning, and 20–30 mm per hour in the afternoon. In the remaining inland areas and mountainous regions of Gangwon, rain is expected to fall at a rate of 20–30 mm per hour from early dawn through the afternoon.

The northern coastal areas of South Chungcheong Province are expected to receive 20–30 mm of rain per hour from early dawn through the morning.

As of 5:00 a.m. on the 20th, the projected rainfall through the 21st is as follows: 30–100 mm in the Seoul metropolitan area, the Five West Sea Islands, and Gangwon inland and mountainous regions (over 150 mm in parts of Incheon, northern Gyeonggi, and northern inland Gangwon); 30–80 mm in the Chungcheong region (over 100 mm in some northern coastal areas of South Chungcheong); 10–60 mm in the eastern coastal areas of Gangwon, North Jeolla Province, Daegu, and North Gyeongsang Province; 5–40 mm in Gwangju, South Jeolla Province, and western inland South Gyeongsang Province; and around 5 mm on Jeju Island.

As rain is concentrated in the central region, sweltering heat will continue in the southern provinces and Jeju Island.

For the time being, the perceived temperature during the day will reach 31 degrees Celsius in most parts of the country, while in areas under heatwave advisories—including parts of the Chungcheong region, the southern provinces, and Jeju—temperatures will rise to around 33 degrees. In South Jeolla Province, the Yeongnam region, and Jeju, the perceived temperature may climb as high as 35 degrees.

The morning lows and daytime highs across the country on the 21st are expected to be between 22–26 degrees and 26–37 degrees, respectively.

Expected morning lows and daytime highs for major cities are: Seoul 24°C/28°C, Incheon 24°C/27°C, Daejeon 24°C/31°C, Gwangju and Busan 26°C/32°C, Daegu 25°C/34°C, and Ulsan 26°C/34°C.

Gusts, thunder, and lightning are expected in the West and East Seas for the time being. Additionally, sea fog is expected in the southern West Sea, the South Sea, the waters around Jeju, and the southern East Sea, so vessels are advised to exercise caution during navigation and fishing operations.
