A woman in her 30s accused of obstruction of business for blocking staff members of athletic organizations from entering the office inside the Olympic Park Handball Gymnasium—which served as a vote counting station for the June 3 local elections—arrives at the Seoul Eastern District Court in Songpa-gu, Seoul, on the 21st for a pre-arrest interrogation (warrant validity hearing).

Participants in the protest, including a woman who blocked members of an athletic organization affiliated with the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee from entering the Olympic Park Handball Gymnasium last month, now face the possibility of arrest.

Judge Seo Beom-jun of the Seoul Eastern District Court held a pre-arrest interrogation (warrant validity hearing) at 2:30 p.m. on the 21st for the woman in her 30s, identified as 'A,' who is facing charges of obstruction of business.

In conservative online communities, the woman has been nicknamed 'Ol-darc,' a portmanteau of 'Olympic Park' and 'Joan of Arc.'

Arriving at the court at 2:24 p.m. wearing a black top and glasses, A did not respond to questions from reporters, such as "What points will you argue during the hearing?" or "Do you admit to the obstruction of business charges?" and proceeded into the courtroom.

Conservative-leaning YouTubers, some wearing red umbrellas and hats inscribed with 'Yoon Again,' shouted, "Stay strong, Ol-darc!" toward her.

A is accused of obstructing the duties of the athletic organization by single-handedly clinging to the entrance and holding her ground for approximately two hours on the 16th of last month, preventing entry even after a consensus had been reached between the protest participants and People Power Party leader Jang Dong-hyeok to allow the organization to enter the gymnasium.

At the time, A had an American flag wrapped around her waist. When she appeared in court today, she was wearing a brooch featuring both the American and South Korean flags on her chest.

The previous night, A posted a video on her YouTube channel titled "Ol-darc's Arrest Warrant: I'll tell you myself," in which she disclosed the details of the warrant.

According to the video, the warrant states that she committed a serious crime of obstruction of business by neutralizing an agreement between members of the main opposition party, the head of the sports association, and the police, and that it became impossible to know when the blockade of the counting station would be resolved. It further states that strict punishment is necessary to prevent the emergence of a "second or third Ol-darc."

Warrant hearings were also held for a man in his 30s accused of illegal searching (special coercion) of the junior women’s handball national team at the venue on the 8th, and for three men in their 20s accused of swearing at a police officer and calling them "Chinese police" while blocking a path at the counting station on the 6th (special obstruction of official duty).

Regarding the man in his 30s, it is reported that the warrant mentions his "malicious criminal behavior," noting that he live-streamed the search and even demanded that players take off their socks in order to generate profit from the broadcasts.
