According to the data released that day, national land prices have maintained an upward trend since March 2023, showing a moderate increase of around 0.2% each month from April to June of this year.

 

By region, the Seoul metropolitan area rose by 1.69%, showing a larger increase than in the second half of the previous year (1.66%), while the provincial areas remained flat at 0.38%.

 

By city and province, Seoul saw a 2.32% increase, significantly exceeding the national average. By city, county, and district, Seoul's Gangnam-gu (2.99%), Yongsan-gu (2.88%), and Seongdong-gu (2.69%) recorded the highest rates of increase in that order.

 

By zoning and usage, commercial areas (1.50%) and commercial land (1.42%) showed a relatively stronger upward trend.

 

Meanwhile, the total land transaction volume for the first half of this year reached approximately 945,000 parcels, a 2.2% increase compared to 924,000 parcels in the second half of the previous year.

 

The volume of pure land transactions, excluding land attached to buildings, recorded approximately 298,000 parcels, a 1.5% increase compared to the second half of the previous year, although this represents a 3.3% decrease compared to the same period of the previous year.

 

By region, transaction volume increased compared to the second half of the previous year in 10 cities and provinces, including Sejong (42.2%) and Jeonbuk (10.8%). By usage, transaction volumes for agricultural and forest areas (26.9%) and paddy fields (19.9%) increased significantly.
