People Power Party Representative Jang Dong-hyeok wrote on Facebook that day regarding Minister Jung's resignation, calling it "the final conscience of someone who witnessed a crime scene," and criticized the administration as a "regime that fears only its extreme supporters but is not afraid of the public."

He further emphasized, "The dismantling of the prosecution will inevitably lead to the dismantling of the regime," adding, "At that point, it will be impossible to 'supplement' anything."

Floor Leader Jung Jeom-sik remarked on Facebook, "The Democratic Party's adoption of the abolition of supplementary investigation rights as a party platform is a 'defeat for the government and a total victory for the ruling party's hardliners,'" and pointed out, "When combining Minister Jung's resignation with the remarks made by the Vice Minister of Justice at the Legislation and Judiciary Committee, it has become clear that the government's stance favors caution regarding the abolition of supplementary investigation rights."

He further argued, "Instead of controlling the ruling party's extreme push for the abolition of supplementary investigation rights, President Lee is only paying heed to the hardliners within the Democratic Party and being dragged along," adding, "This is likely because he will need the help of these hardline lawmakers to successfully achieve the dismissal of public prosecutions in the future."

Regarding Minister Jung, he evaluated, "I highly regard his attitude of wanting to uphold his responsibility and convictions as a minister," noting, "Compared to Policy Chief Kim Yong-beom, who refuses to take responsibility even after turning the KOSPI into a gambling den, or Defense Minister Ahn Gyu-baek, who is forcing the consolidation of military academies against public opinion without resolving allegations regarding his own desertion, it is a responsible stance."

Chief Spokesperson Park Sung-hoon stated in a commentary, "If he were truly worried about judicial justice, he should not have cowardly 'thrown his resignation and looked the other way,' but should have publicly advised President Lee to exercise his veto power and risked his ministerial position to fight until the end," labeling the move a "'resignation political show' lacking both justification and conviction."

Five-term lawmaker Yoon Sang-hyun emphasized in a Facebook post, "Why did you not try to persuade the public and raise your voice to protect the rule of law until the end?" and added, "Please clearly state your position as Minister of Justice regarding the controversy over the dismissal of public prosecutions surrounding President Lee."

Five-term lawmaker Na Kyung-won wrote on Facebook, "President Lee Jae-myung and the Democratic Party's reckless judicial destruction, which prioritizes immediate vote counting for the national convention and the cheers of extreme supporters over the lives and safety of the people, will inevitably be judged by the public for the cost of collapsing the constitutional order."
