Three men in their 20s have been referred to the prosecution on charges of obstruction of justice, including allegedly shouting "Chinese police" at officers during the Jamsil protest.

The Seoul Songpa Police Station announced on the 25th that the three individuals—one of whom had an arrest warrant issued, while the warrants for the other two were dismissed—were referred to the prosecution on the 24th.

They had been under investigation for allegedly cursing at police and blocking their path at the Olympic Park Handball Gymnasium ballot counting station on the 6th of last month. They underwent a pre-arrest interrogation (warrant review) on the 21st.

Some argue that the root cause of the incident was that the police on-site were not wearing name tags. Under the current Police Duties Execution Act, police officers on duty are required to state their rank and name—including their department, name, and title—when asked by a citizen. However, there has been ongoing criticism that some officers deployed to the Olympic Park site were wearing masks that obscured their faces or failing to identify themselves, leading citizens to question whether they were "genuine Korean police."

Meanwhile, during the warrant review on the 21st, the court dismissed the arrest warrants for two of the three individuals but issued one for the remaining man in his 20s, citing "a risk of flight."
