President Trump made his intentions known on Truth Social, hours before meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and European officials for talks on the future of the Russia-Ukraine war, stating that he would "face tremendous opposition from the Democrats."

"I will lead the charge to get rid of mail-in voting. Also, while we are at it, we will get rid of the very dishonest and very expensive and very fraudulent voting machines. They cost 10 times more than they should, they are not accurate and are very fraudulent. Watermark paper is 10 times less expensive, it is accurate, and there is no doubt as to who won. We are the only country in the world using mail-in voting," Trump posted on Truth Social.

He argued, "The Democrats cannot win without this totally disproven mail-in ballot fraud, because of the terrible radical left policies that they have, including the open borders, men playing in women's sports, transgender, and then the 'woke' thing, and then all of the other horrible things."

Trump and his allies have claimed that their defeat in the 2020 election was due to fraudulent voting in several key swing states.

In March, President Trump signed an executive order that would reform the U.S. election system, requiring proof of citizenship for voter registration in federal elections and ensuring that all ballots are received by Election Day.

Democratic state attorneys general filed a federal lawsuit, arguing that the provision infringes on states' rights to set their own election rules and that the executive branch lacks such authority.

President Trump stated that other countries have stopped mail-in voting due to "massive voter fraud" and that states should follow the president's directives "for the good of the country" ahead of the midterm elections.

President Trump wrote, "Remember, the states are only "representatives" of the federal government in which the federal government counts the votes and writes the ballots. They must do as they are instructed by the federal government, acting on behalf of the President of the United States, for the 'GOOD of the country.'"

President Trump said, "We will be starting this effort, and the Democrats will be strongly opposing it because they are committing fraud at a level never before seen."

However, these claims could provoke significant controversy, and it remains to be seen how federalists, who have shown conservative leanings, will react.

Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin, who met President Trump in Alaska on Friday the 16th, agreed that allowing voters to send ballots by mail puts fair elections at risk.

In an interview with Fox News, President Trump said, "A smart man, Vladimir Putin, said that mail-in voting is not fair," and added, "He said that there is no country in the world that has mail-in voting right now."

The Daily Caller reported that as President Trump foreshadows the executive order, Republican efforts to gain an advantage in the midterm elections are expected to gain momentum.

Michael Whatley, chairman of the Republican National Committee (RNC), said that the Republican Party will focus on federal Senate elections in Georgia, North Carolina, Maine, Michigan, and Kentucky, while also closely watching the preservation of federal House seats in strongly Democratic states like New York and California, according to the Daily Caller.
