San Francisco Giants' starting outfielder Lee Jung-hoo (27) has extended his hit streak to nine consecutive games.

Lee started as the No. 6 hitter and center fielder in the Giants' road game against the San Diego Padres at Petco Park in San Diego, California, on the 21st (Korean time), recording one hit in four at-bats.

He has hit safely in every game since his game against San Diego on the 12th. Furthermore, he has continued his hot streak, recording a hit in 17 out of 18 games played since August.

His season batting average remained at .262 (119 hits in 455 at-bats). His batting average for August stands at .344 (22 hits in 64 at-bats).

His hit came in his first at-bat. In the top of the second inning, with two outs and no runners on base, trailing 0-1, he hit a clean single to center field off left-handed starter JP Sears.

With a 3-1 count, he effectively hit a 149.5 km/h fastball down the middle.
