The 2020 US presidential election left a major rift in global democracy. Ostensibly, Joe Biden won, and President Trump was reluctant to concede defeat. However, what emerged in the process was not merely a sore loser's protest. Numerous Americans questioned the fairness of the election itself, and this distrust remains a core conflict that divides American society to this day. The discourse of election fraud was not solely about technical manipulation but also shaped by the perception that political, financial, and media powers colluded to distort the free choice of democracy.

The expansion of mail-in voting and delays in vote counting, coupled with social media content suppression and biased reporting by mainstream media, led Trump supporters to feel trapped within an "institutionalized unfairness." They argued that the crucial issue was not the seals on ballot boxes or errors in counting machines, but rather the agenda that was permitted during the election process and the information that could be disseminated. This is directly linked to the distrust that the imposition of PCist and ESG norms, discussed in previous series, also operated within the electoral arena.

A similar trend emerged in South Korea. The distrust in the early voting and vote counting systems that surfaced after the 2020 general election is difficult to explain solely by statistical errors or administrative inexperience. The conservative camp began to doubt the fairness of the elections with the perception that "international norms and political elites are managing Korean democracy." The ESG initiatives led by the Democratic Party, PCist agendas, and their alignment with media and judicial institutions ultimately gave rise to political suspicion that "even the elections have been compromised."

The roots of election fraud discourse ultimately lie in the sense of crisis that globalist norms are dominating democracy. Elections, which should inherently be a procedure for citizens to exercise sovereignty, have become structured to address only limited agendas within the framework of international finance, normative networks, and the coercive imposition of PCist culture. This is fundamentally different from technical manipulation that can only be uncovered by opening ballot boxes. The distrust that the very heart of democracy has been disciplined gave rise to the discourse of election fraud.

It is in the same vein that Trump's MAGA supporters have made the discourse of election fraud a core element of their political struggle. For them, the Democratic Party's victory was not merely an election outcome but a structural product of globalism, financial elites, and PCism colluding to control the people's choices. Therefore, their distrust does not easily dissipate. Although audits and lawsuits conducted in various US states were largely dismissed, the division in public opinion deepened.

This discourse has also formed political energy in South Korea. Some conservative voters see beyond the statistical anomalies or management failures revealed during the election process; they see a bigger picture. This is a sense of crisis that the sovereign of democracy is not the citizenry but international finance and political elites. Therefore, the term "election fraud" is not simply a conspiratorial slogan but an expression of fundamental distrust that democracy is being managed by a power colluding with globalism.

When democracy is shaken, the fairness of elections is the first casualty. Votes still go into the ballot box, but what choices the citizens have access to is determined by unseen hands. If globalist norms and the imposition of PCism continue to strengthen, democracy risks being reduced to a mere shell. The discourse of election fraud is the phenomenon that most directly reveals this crisis.
