Concerns are growing that the impact of tariffs will spread not only within the steel industry but across the entire export sector, as the U.S. recently expanded the scope of its 50% tariff to 407 types of derivative products, following an increase in its import steel tariff from 25% to 50%. According to the Korea International Trade Association on the 24th, South Korea's steel exports to the U.S. in July amounted to $283.41 million, a 25.9% decrease from $382.55 million in the same period last year.
