The phrase "Operation to Create Conditions for the Incheon Landing" used in a prison letter from former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun, the first cabinet member arrested under the martial law of December 3rd, is drawing attention.
According to the letter released by the Free University on its social media (SNS) on the 26th, former Minister Kim wrote in a letter dated the 24th, "To the patriotic youths of the Free University, the light and hope of the Republic of Korea! I send my deep admiration and fervent praise to you who are striving to create the conditions for a successful Incheon Landing operation," and wrote these meaningful words.
Former Minister Kim encouraged them, saying, "The fate of the free Republic of Korea is currently facing a crisis like a flame on the wind, and countless patriotic citizens are struggling through each day in frustration and despair. Nevertheless, the reason we do not give up hope is because of you."
He further praised them, saying, "Many patriotic citizens are looking to you and continuing their tearful spirit without giving up. At some point, you became the 'center' of defending the free Republic of Korea." He continued, "I am so, so proud of you. And I feel reassured. You have become not 'One of them' but the 'Core'," highly commending the Free University as the cornerstone of the movement to restore the nation to its rightful state.
Former Minister Kim suggested, "The 'Core' requires greater responsibility and inclusiveness to achieve its goals. Even if we differ on 99 points, as long as we share the single value of 'YOON AGAIN, defending the free Republic of Korea,' we must embrace each other." He also requested, "The fate of the Republic of Korea rests with the patriotic youths of the Free University. To fulfill that duty, I hope you will wisely exercise the wisdom of 'utilization,' not 'submission.'"
He then expressed his wish, "I dream of a world where our Free University becomes the 'center,' transforming the current 'crisis' into an 'opportunity,' and where youth become the 'masters.' I hope for the day when the Republic of Korea is RESET to be more free, clean, just, and future-oriented."
Former Minister Kim concluded his letter by adding, "Oh, God. Grant the patriotic youths of the Free University greater courage and wisdom! YOON AGAIN! Go, patriotic youths of the Free University!"
