On Wednesday, the 27th, temperatures will rise again, with many areas experiencing perceived temperatures of around 33°C during the day.

Rain fell on the 25th-26th, and cold, dry air flowed in from the northwest, leading to a slight decrease in the intensity of the heat.

Although tropical nights continued in coastal and urban areas such as Gangneung in Gangwon and Jeju overnight, the number of areas experiencing tropical nights has decreased compared to before. Seoul also experienced its first night without a tropical night in 12 days, as the temperature dropped to 23.6°C at one point in the early morning. A tropical night is defined as a night where the temperature does not fall below 25°C.

Heatwave advisories are currently in effect only in Yeongnam, excluding southern Jeolla and northern Gyeongbuk, and Jeju, excluding Hallasan.

However, the heat is not entirely over. On this day, easterly winds will blow along the edge of a high-pressure system moving from northeastern China to the East Sea, causing temperatures to rise again west of the Baekdudaegan. Heatwave advisories will be reissued in some areas. This is because the wind heats up as it crosses the mountains.

Gangwon Yeongdong, directly exposed to the easterly winds, will experience perceived temperatures of around 30°C during the day.

The daytime high temperatures nationwide are expected to range from 28°C to 35°C.

Seoul and Daegu will see daytime temperatures of 33°C, Daejeon and Gwangju 32°C, and Incheon, Ulsan, and Busan 31°C. Gumi in Gyeongbuk is expected to reach temperatures as high as 35°C.

In the afternoon, ozone levels will be high, at a 'bad' level, in the central-western regions such as the Seoul metropolitan area and Chungnam, and in most southern regions including southern Jeolla, Busan, Daegu, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam. Caution is advised when going outdoors during the day.

Due to the influence of the easterly winds, a small amount of rain, around 5mm, is expected until the afternoon in Gangwon Yeongdong, excluding the northern mountainous areas of Gangwon. In the northern mountainous areas of Gyeongbuk and the northeastern coastal areas of Gyeongbuk, 5-10mm of rain is expected from the afternoon to the evening.

Additionally, showers may occur in the afternoon in northern Chungbuk, central inland Gyeongnam, and Jeju.

The amount of rainfall from showers is expected to be 5-40mm in Jeju, and 5-20mm in other areas.
