On Thursday, the 28th, sweltering heat and scattered showers are expected, primarily in the Seoul Metropolitan Area, Gangwon Yeongseo, Chungnam, southern regions, and Jeju, where heatwave advisories are in effect.

The morning low temperatures are forecast to be between 20-25°C, and the afternoon high temperatures between 29-33°C.

The expected low and high temperatures for major cities are: Seoul & Busan 25°C and 32°C, Incheon & Ulsan 24°C and 31°C, Daejeon & Gwangju & Daegu 24°C and 33°C.

The feel-like temperature will rise to around 33°C in most areas during the daytime.

Currently, heatwave advisories are in effect for the Seoul Metropolitan Area, Gangwon Yeongseo, Chungnam, southern regions, and Jeju. The Korea Meteorological Administration stated that more regions may issue advisories.

On the 28th, ozone levels will be 'bad' for a part of the afternoon in Gyeonggi, Jeonnam, Busan, Daegu, and Gyeongnam.

Showers of approximately 5-30mm (5-40mm in Jeju) are expected in the Seoul Metropolitan Area, Chungnam, and Jeju in the afternoon.

Caution is advised due to the possibility of strong gusts, thunder, and lightning during the showers.

On the morning commute on the 28th, fog reducing visibility to less than 1km will occur in Chungcheong, Honam, and Gyeongnam inland regions. In the mountainous areas of Gangwon, low-lying clouds will form due to the easterly wind, creating dense fog with visibility below 200m.
