The Liberty Korea Defense Group (led by Oh Sang-jong) is a civic organization that identifies and directly reports social corruption and irregularities. Their activities are supported by conservative citizens.

On the 28th at 1:30 PM, the Liberty Korea Defense Group submitted a disciplinary petition to the Korean Medical Association (KMA) against a doctor surnamed Jeon, who works in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Jeongeup Asan Hospital.

The group stated, "The remarks made by the doctor on social media fundamentally undermine the ethics and dignity of a medical professional," adding, "An attitude that mocks patients and trivializes death can never be tolerated."

Previously, Dr. Jeon stirred controversy by posting comments on social media such as, "I want to gather people who don't believe in vaccines and give them tetanus," "When I see people who claim vaccines are useless, I want to make them die," and "Why are vaccine deniers always followers of Yoon Suk-yeol?"

The group pointed out, "Article 66 of the Medical Service Act, the Korean Medical Association's Code of Ethics, and the Guidelines for Medical Ethics all mandate the 'maintenance of a physician's dignity and respect for patients,'" and asserted, "These remarks are a direct violation of those standards." They further emphasized, "The public is now inevitably left with the distrust that 'a doctor might discriminate against me or refuse to treat me.'"

Furthermore, while demanding ▲ the initiation of strict disciplinary procedures, ▲ the development of measures to prevent recurrence, and ▲ the strengthening of the duty to maintain professional dignity, they argued that "the Korean Medical Association must restore medical ethics and regain public trust."

Oh Sang-jong, head of the Liberty Korea Defense Group, stated, "A doctor is a profession that protects life," and added, "A doctor who mocks and discriminates against patients is no longer qualified to practice medicine. The medical community must respond to the public with a thorough investigation and decisive disciplinary action."
