The People Power Party announced on the 29th that it would prioritize 100 legislative tasks, including an amendment to the Pardon Act that excludes individuals in a conspiracy with the president from pardon or commutation, under the banner of "Setting the Economy, Livelihoods, and Trust Right."

The People Power Party's Policy Committee made this announcement at the party's national assembly members' workshop held at the Incheon International Airport Corporation Aviation Training Center.

The 100 legislative tasks cover 7 areas: ▲ Fostering Future Advanced Industries ▲ Economic Revitalization ▲ Recovery of Livelihood Economy ▲ Youth Hope ▲ Safe Society ▲ Care for Vulnerable Groups ▲ Political Innovation.

In terms of political innovation, the People Power Party plans to push for: ▲ the Pardon Act, which excludes individuals in a conspiracy with the president from being eligible for commutation or pardon, ▲ the National Assembly Confirmation Hearing Act, which strengthens the effectiveness of confirmation hearings by prohibiting refusal to submit documents and restricting intentional omission, ▲ the Election Commission Corruption Monitoring Act, which monitors issues such as preferential hiring by the Election Commission, and ▲ the Public Official Election Act, which strengthens the requirements for foreigners to be granted voting rights.

Furthermore, for economic revitalization, the party will pursue: ▲ the Commercial Code, which includes provisions for poison pills (the right for existing shareholders to purchase shares at a price lower than market value to counter attempts to infringe on management rights), differential voting rights (a system that grants additional voting rights to shares held by founders or management), and mitigation of breach of trust offenses, ▲ and the Inheritance and Gift Tax Act to rationalize tax burdens.

Additionally, legislative tasks include: ▲ a bill to establish the legal basis for the issuance and circulation of KRW stablecoins, ▲ a bill to resolve foreign preferential treatment and domestic discrimination in real estate transactions, ▲ the Abolition of the Reconstruction Excess Profit Recapture Act, and ▲ an amendment to the North Korean Leaflet Act to delete provisions for the prohibition and punishment of activities such as the distribution of leaflets to North Korea.
