The People Power Party (PPP) strongly condemned the special prosecutor's attempt to search and seize the Floor Leader's office and administrative office on the 3rd, calling it "low-class violence by political thugs disguised as law."

At the Supreme Council meeting that day, Leader Jang Dong-hyuk stated, "The Floor Leader's office and the Floor Administration Office are the core command center directing the party's strategy." He added, "This search and seizure is a low-level and vile political operation intended to break the arms and legs of the PPP command and gag the opposition party."

He continued, "The attempt to sift through every speck of dust in the Floor Leader's office to uncover the truth of what happened for a few hours on the evening of December 3rd last year has revealed to the world how absurd and baseless the Democratic Party of Korea's baseless accusations of sedition were."

He then declared, "Today, September 3, 2025, we declare the end of the sedition accusations." He added, "The autumn of 2025 will continue to be sleepless nights for Special Prosecutor Cho Eun-seok."

At the meeting, Floor Leader Song Eon-seok also scoffed, saying, "The special prosecutor listed Rep. Choo Kyung-ho as a suspect, but the warrant failed to specify even one criminal fact." He described it as "a fantasy novel-style investigation attempting to force fabricated delusions into facts."

He pointed out, "This could not be done unless they intended to create dust where there is none. In their attempt to create a crime that does not exist, they are compounding one unreasonable act upon another."

Regarding the Democratic Party of Korea's push for the establishment of a special tribunal for sedition, he stated, "It will be a People's Court-style special prosecution, like in communist countries, where investigations and trials are conducted after pre-determining guilt to suit their own tastes." He concluded, "This will remain a dark chapter in the history of South Korean democracy."

The previous day, the special prosecutor team led by Cho Eun-seok, investigating allegations of sedition and foreign espionage related to the December 3rd emergency martial law, searched and seized the home and National Assembly office of former PPP Floor Leader Choo Kyung-ho in connection with the "obstruction of martial law repeal allegations." They also attempted to search and seize the PPP's Floor Leader's office and administrative office within the National Assembly building.

In response, the PPP refused the search and seizure of the Floor Leader's office and administrative office and is demanding that the special prosecutor's team agree to voluntary submission of documents through consultation.
