Attorney Kwon Oh-yong stated that he coincidentally encountered former President Yoon Suk-yeol at the Seoul Detention Center on the morning of the 5th while on a business visit. Attorney Kwon expressed his intention to encourage supporters by conveying the appearance and state of mind of former President Yoon, as observed during their meeting.

In a phone call with on that day, Attorney Kwon explained, "I encountered former President Yoon on the first floor of the detention center after finishing my meeting with a client around 11 AM." He added, "Although former President Yoon's face was gaunt and his complexion was not good, surprisingly, his expression showed an unexpected calmness and composure," suggesting that former President Yoon maintained his composure even during his imprisonment.

This meeting reportedly occurred by chance as former President Yoon was using a general visitation room due to restrictions on special visitations. Attorney Kwon recounted the situation, saying, "I had a feeling it might be him just by seeing his back, and when he turned around, it was indeed former President Yoon." He explained the background, stating, "I decided to make this public to convey a small bit of courage to the many people who are curious about former President Yoon's situation and support him."

He particularly shared his premonition, saying, "The weather was hot, so I usually don't wear a tie, but for some reason today I felt I might meet former President Yoon, so I dressed in a suit and wore a tie." He also shared his personal feelings, stating, "I felt good to have actually met him."

Meanwhile, Attorney Kwon urged for active solidarity within the legal community, stating, "Currently, many legal professionals are in agreement with the need for representation and support for former President Yoon. Even if they do not directly represent him, simply having dozens of lawyers handling the case at the Western District Court join the defense team would be a great source of strength for former President Yoon."

Former President Yoon Suk-yeol has been imprisoned at the Seoul Detention Center since his impeachment in April.
