The 75th Anniversary Commemoration of the Incheon Landing Operation has been held.

The Incheon Landing Commemoration Association, the Korea Freedom Federation, and the Syngman Rhee (Unam) Network, among others, held the 75th Anniversary Commemoration of the Incheon Landing Operation at 10:30 a.m. on the 13th at Incheon Jayu (Freedom) Park in Songhak-dong, Jung-gu, Incheon.

The ceremony was organized to reflect on the historical significance of the Incheon Landing Operation, which turned the tide of the Korean War, and to honor the bold decision of the founding president Syngman Rhee, who protected the free Republic of Korea, the courageous strategy and leadership of General Douglas MacArthur, and the sacrifice and dedication of the war veterans.

Beginning with a performance by the Marine Corps military band and honor guard, the event proceeded in the following order: national ceremonies, including the singing of the national anthems of South Korea and the United States; the entry of the flags of the 16 participating nations; opening remarks and congratulatory speeches from various sectors; cultural performances; and a commemorative floral tribute.

The commemorative song "Dedication to Freedom" (lyrics by Seo Yo-han, arranged by Kim In-seong), co-produced by the Patriotic Culture & Arts Foundation (Chairman Seo Yo-han) and the Youth Syngman Rhee 326 Platform (Representative Kim In-seong), was officially unveiled as a tribute. The song honors the spirit of freedom defended by our patriots and war veterans, and the ceremony included a presentation of the commemorative sheet music and a plaque of appreciation.

Furthermore, the YS Performing Arts Troupe’s musical "Incheon Landing Operation," a performance of the ensemble piece "Beautiful Country," the screening of a short-form video, and a performance by the Marine Corps military band resonated deeply with both the public and the war veterans in attendance.

During the ceremony, plans were also announced to build an "Incheon Landing Operation Monument" at the National Museum of the Marine Corps in Quantico, Virginia, USA. While a monument for the Battle of Chosin Reservoir already exists, the need for a monument commemorating the Incheon Landing Operation has been consistently raised.

The Commemoration Association is working with the American Legion, domestic veterans' organizations, the U.S. Embassy in Seoul, and the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs to push for the construction of the monument, which is expected to cost approximately $1 million (KRW 1.4 billion). This project is poised to become a historical milestone that symbolizes the strengthening of the ROK-U.S. alliance.

The ceremony was organized by the Incheon Landing Commemoration Association (Lee Byeong-soo) and the Korea Freedom Federation (Choi Myeong-jin), and co-hosted by Liberty and Solidarity (Chairman Choi Jong-dae), along with: the Gyeonggi High School Guardians of the Nation (Park Tae-beom), the Seoul High School Patriotism Comrades Association (Lee Han-ju), the Kosin Patriotic Leaders Association (Lee Seong-gu), the Republic of Korea ROTC Patriotic Comrades Association (Moon Dae-seon), the Patriotic Culture & Arts Foundation (Seo Yo-han), Dr. Cucumber (Lee Jeong-shin), the Unam Network (Shin Cheol-sik), the Chosin Reservoir Battle Commemoration Association (Lee Jae-chun), the Joongang High School Patriotic Comrades Association (No Young-woo), the Youth Syngman Rhee 326 Platform (Kim In-seong), the Korea-Germany Workers Welfare Foundation (Son Byeong-deok), and the ROK-U.S. Alliance Council (Son Myeong-won).

The organizers provided a live broadcast on YouTube for citizens and overseas Koreans unable to attend the event in person.

Lee Byeong-soo, Chairman of the Commemoration Association, stated, "Freedom is not free. This event serves to remind the nation and the world once again that it is the result of sacrifice and dedication. This ceremony holds historical significance, as it reflects on the roots of the free Republic of Korea and further solidifies the ROK-U.S. alliance."

The Unam Network serves as an organization that facilitates communication, empathy, and the coordination of educational events, academic conferences, performances, and concerts among individuals, groups, and businesses united by the spirit of the founding president, Unam Syngman Rhee.

The organization hosted the 2023 June 3 Jeongeup Declaration Event and the 2024 SS Concert commemorating the 149th anniversary of Syngman Rhee's birth, and is currently preparing a launch ceremony for 150 young followers of Syngman Rhee to mark his 150th birthday in 2025.
