Rain in Jeju, South Jeolla, and South Gyeongsang... Ozone Levels 'Bad' in Most Areas During the Day

Late summer heat will persist on Monday the 15th.
On this day, Korea will be under the influence of a high-pressure system moving eastward from the Yellow Sea.
Warm and humid air will be drawn in along the edge of the high-pressure system, raising temperatures. The regions along this edge will be the southern provinces and Jeju Island.
Consequently, the feels-like temperature in the southern regions will rise to around 33 degrees Celsius during the day.
Heatwave advisories are currently in effect for parts of South Jeolla's southern coast, South Gyeongsang, and Jeju.
The daytime high temperatures nationwide will range from 28 to 31 degrees Celsius, which is higher than the average for this time of year.
Daegu and Busan will reach 31 degrees, Seoul, Daejeon, and Ulsan will reach 30 degrees, and Incheon and Gwangju will reach 29 degrees.
As warm and humid air continues to flow in, rain is expected in Jeju, with amounts ranging from approximately 10 to 60 mm. Rain is also forecast for parts of South Jeolla Province and South Gyeongsang Province, with 5 to 60 mm and 5 to 40 mm expected, respectively, by the evening.
On this day, nationwide ozone concentrations, excluding Gangwon, Daegu, Gwangju, and Jeju, will be high, reaching 'bad' levels.
High concentrations of ozone can adversely affect the respiratory and sensory organs, so individuals with related health conditions and the elderly should refrain from going outdoors. Yonhap News
