Kim Ha-seong Hits First Double Since Joining Atlanta... Extends Hitting Streak to Three Games

Kim Ha-seong (29, Atlanta Braves) continued his hitting streak to three games with a solid extra-base hit.

On the 16th (Korean time), Kim Ha-seong started as the No. 5 hitter and shortstop in the away game against the Washington Nationals at Nationals Park in Washington D.C., going 1-for-4 with a walk and scoring one run.

Leading off in the top of the 6th inning, Kim Ha-seong connected with a 127 km/h curveball from opposing left-handed starter Mitchell Parker on the 10th pitch, hitting a double to left field. The ball traveled to the left-field fence at 167 km/h.

This was Kim Ha-seong's fourth double of the season and his first since joining the Atlanta Braves.

Furthermore, he extended his hitting streak, which began against the Houston Astros on the 14th, to three games.

Kim Ha-seong also scored his ninth run of the season when he crossed home plate on an infield single to right field by Drake Baldwin.

In his first at-bat in the 2nd inning, Kim grounded out to third base. In the 4th inning with runners on first and third and no outs, he hit a hard-hit ball traveling at 158 km/h directly at the shortstop for a double play.

However, Kim Ha-seong doubled in the 6th inning and drew a walk in the 7th, successfully reaching base twice on the day.

In his final at-bat in the 9th inning, he struck out due to misfortune on a 'foul home run'.

Kim Ha-seong maintained his season batting average of .238 (30 hits in 126 at-bats).
