The Democratic Party of Korea evaluated on the 17th the issuance of an arrest warrant requested by the Kim Geon-hee special prosecutor for lawmaker Kwon Seong-dong by the court, stating it is "a starting point for restoring the rule of law."

Senior Spokesperson Park Soo-hyun stated in a written briefing that day, "The court's decision to arrest Rep. Kwon is only natural."
