Hak Ja Han Moon, the president of the Unification Church, voluntarily appeared at the special prosecutor's office in the KT Gwanghwamun Building in Jongno-gu, Seoul, on the 17th, after refusing three previous summonses. President Moon is accused of conspiring with Mo Yun, former head of the Unification Church's global headquarters (currently indicted and detained), to offer 100 million won in political funds to Kwak Dong-won, a member of the People Power Party, in January 2022, requesting the Yoon Suk-yeol administration's support for the Unification Church. She is also suspected of being involved in offering expensive necklaces and Chanel bags to Kim Keon-hee through Jeon Seong-bae, known as 'Geonjin Beopsa', between April and July of the same year, in exchange for addressing the church's issues.
