It has been argued that the right-wing should not merely be defensive and frustrated by the left-wing forces' 'sedition frame' offensive, but instead should actively counterattack by highlighting the 'crimes against the nation' committed by pro-North Korean leftists to overcome it.

Dr. Lee Hee-cheon, former professor at the National Intelligence College, stated at the 'Korean American Forum 2025' held at the Washington Hilton Hotel for two days on the 18th-19th (US local time), hosted by the Korean American Youth Union, under the theme 'Counter-Strategy for the Sedition Frame,' "I felt despair while watching the situation in South Korea for the past three months in the United States." He criticized, "The left-wing forces are endlessly pushing the 'sedition frame' to portray President Yoon Suk-yeol as the leader of sedition and to accuse the right-wing liberal democratic forces of being accomplices to sedition, yet no one has proposed a strategy or tactic to overcome this, instead avoiding and fleeing."

He then shared the core content of his recently published book in the US, 'System War Master Plan (Publisher: Daechunamu),' and said, "At the ROK-US bilateral meeting on August 25th, US President Donald Trump addressed the essence of the counter-frame, the issue of ideology, which is their most critical vulnerability." He warned, "The ideological issue of South Korea has now evolved into an international problem." According to Dr. Lee's new perspective, "It is time for our liberal democratic forces in South Korea to start a new war alongside the ROK-US alliance, not a time for despair."

Specifically, Dr. Lee explained, "The core of the 'purges and revolution' announced by President Trump on social media three hours before the bilateral meeting was that the special prosecutor's investigation activities are a part of the purges that accompany communist revolutions." He added, "If South Korea were to become a communist state, could it engage in cooperation with partners on matters like trade or tariff negotiations?" He pointed out, "Lee Jae-myung's reference to this as a 'palace coup' clearly reveals an irreconcilable difference in perception between President Trump and Lee Jae-myung, and the conflict between the two sides will intensify."

He continued, "Their dialogue revealed President Trump's view, based on his own experiences, that a system war is occurring in South Korea between communist forces and liberal democratic forces." He analyzed, "This is a significant issue that transcends internal Korean problems and could escalate into international conflict within the global new cold war order."

As a basis for this analysis, he also presented examples from the United States. Dr. Lee stated, "In my opinion, President Trump understands the terms 'communist revolution' and 'purges' very well." He pointed out, "During Trump's first term, socialists within the (US) Democratic Party repeatedly claimed that President Trump was a far-right extremist and that he should carry out communist-style purges."

He noted, "Representative Ocasio threatened to retaliate by creating a blacklist against the Trump camp and spoke of carrying out Stalin-style purges and attacks similar to the Chinese Cultural Revolution against Trump supporters." He added, "Jennifer Rubin of The Washington Post also stated that if the Trump administration were overthrown, Trump supporters should be labeled as reactionaries and sent to concentration camps to create a communist regime."

Representative Ocasio refers to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a Democratic Congresswoman from New York, known by her acronym AOC. American conservatives consider her a radical leftist.

Dr. Lee interpreted President Trump's official declaration of decoupling from China and creating a barrier between liberal democratic forces and forces centered around China, including North Korea and Russia, as a policy to establish a new cold war order. He explained, "He is changing the world order now because he accurately understands the essence of communism."

He particularly stated, "President Trump currently views the issues in South Korea as an ideological war." He added, "I see this as a situation where intelligence agencies or private channels are accurately observing a fierce system war occurring in South Korea between communist forces and liberal democratic forces that oppose communism."

He diagnosed, "The future problems of South Korea will not end solely as problems of South Korea but will be part of the global new cold war order with the United States. We are at a critical juncture where the world order will change depending on whether we win this time and who emerges victorious."

Dr. Lee asserted, "The 'sedition frame' offensive by the Lee Jae-myung faction will continue until the liberal democratic system of South Korea is completely extinguished." He emphasized, "We must accurately understand their purpose in using the 'sedition frame.' If we approach it without knowing their objective, thinking that avoiding it will prevent personal harm or that the People Power Party will not be disbanded, we will face total defeat, South Korea will perish, and liberal democracy will be destroyed."

Finally, Dr. Lee strongly proposed a counterattack using the 'crimes against the nation' frame against pro-North Korean leftists. He urged, "We must keep the fundamental issue in mind. We must clearly recognize that pro-North Korean leftist forces are those who dream of revolution and aim to overthrow the government and seize power." He advised, "We must attack with frames like 'crimes against the nation,' rather than solely defending against and desperately trying to block President Yoon Suk-yeol's declaration of emergency martial law, arguing it's not a 'sedition frame,' without ever discussing their very significant weaknesses."

He also requested, "Now, overseas Koreans must also awaken to the points that need to be attacked and the points to dismantle the 'sedition frame,' understand them, and then disseminate this information to people in South Korea." He emphasized, "Because freedom of speech in South Korea is currently very limited, the role of overseas Koreans is significant."
