Ministry of Interior and Safety
The Ministry of Interior and Safety announced on the 23rd that it will conduct a "Call for Applications for Private Companies to Provide Open Services in the Second Half of 2025" until the 15th of next month, to open 35 types of public services frequently used by citizens to private companies.
The main services scheduled for opening are 35 types across 11 fields, including life, transportation, real estate, and certificates, which have high usage frequency and ripple effects among citizens.
These include the reissuance of resident registration cards and driver's licenses, mobile passport information certification services, National Pension (4 types including inquiry of enrollment history and voluntary enrollment application), and online application and issuance of school enrollment notices.
Applications can be submitted through 'Munseo24' (Document24), and application forms and submission documents can be found on the Ministry of Interior and Safety website.
Private companies selected as prospective open service providers will negotiate linkage requirements with the responsible government agencies and, after concluding service agreements and developing programs (APIs), will sequentially provide public services through private apps and websites starting from early next year.
