On September 30, People Power Party leader Jang Dong-hyuk urged the government and the ruling party to disclose the extent of the damage and future plans for compensation regarding the paralysis of the government's computer network caused by the fire at the National Information Resources Management Center.

At a press conference held at the National Assembly, Jang stated, "One floor of the National Information Resources Management Center burned down, and the Republic of Korea has come to a standstill, with the entire nation suffering damages. People's lives have stopped."

He criticized, "Ahead of the Chuseok holiday peak, the post office shopping mall is down, and damages to small business owners are snowballing. The government's incompetence and complacency have ruined even the peak season sales for small business owners and turned the peak season into a disaster."

He added, "As the national computer network stopped, it became difficult to even find the last resting place for the deceased, and the organ donation system also stopped," pointing out, "The risks of smishing and voice phishing are also increasing."

Jang claimed, "They say major disasters mainly occur during conservative administrations, but the Democratic Party is only thinking of blaming the previous administration for this fire. Blaming the opposition party does not absolve the government and the ruling party of responsibility."

He further urged, "We must report the exact damage situation to the public, specifying which sectors and what scale of damage has occurred. Reveal detailed plans on how you will compensate for the losses incurred by the public."

He emphasized, "The public wanted a reboot, not a shutdown. It's not just time to format the judiciary; we need to reset the digital government as soon as possible."

Regarding the search and seizure of the People Power Party's Gyeongnam Provincial Party Office by the special prosecutor for Kim Keon-hee, he protested, "First, we will file a complaint against the special prosecutor. We will thoroughly review with legal counsel what they are investigating and what they intend to seize, and if it is an illegal search and seizure, we will absolutely block it."

Regarding the Democratic Party's call for a "trial review system" that would allow final Supreme Court rulings to be re-examined by the Constitutional Court, he criticized, "The trial review is not just simmering; it's already boiling and steaming. It is a last-ditch effort to secure an acquittal if the trial is resumed later."

In response to Democratic Party floor leader Kim Byung-joo's announcement of a bill to prevent the abuse of filibusters, he argued, "To eliminate the opposition party's last weapon because it obstructs the arbitrary passage of evil laws is an overt display of ambition to completely dismantle parliament and move towards a one-party dictatorship."
