In the very place where law and justice were trampled upon in this country, the law has finally awakened.
Former Korea Communications Commission Chairperson Lee Jin-sook was unjustly arrested due to the reckless oppression of political power; however, the court’s decision to accept the review of the legality of the arrest clearly proved that the detention was unjustified.
This judgment by the judiciary is a historic declaration proving that the conscience of a free Republic of Korea is still alive.
However, the public’s anger has not subsided.
Even though the law has awakened, those in power and the media continue to turn a blind eye to their own transgressions.
The authorities and police who carried out the unjust arrest, along with the media that shields them, are deceiving the public with sophistry, claiming that "though released, the arrest was lawful."
They are no longer watchdogs but have degraded into "trash" journalists—a cancerous presence that blinds the eyes and ears of the public and infects the nation.
Citizens, in order to remove one person, Lee Jin-sook, the regime has abused impeachment, forced her out by renaming organizations, and ultimately mobilized the police to arrest her.
This is a **brazen and arrogant (Bangyakmuin: acting willfully without regard for decorum or reason)** rampage of power and a form of political violence that has shattered the foundations of the rule of law.
Yet, the truth has not remained silent.
On the day the court awakened and upheld justice, the people cheered with tears. Now, that anger must turn into action.
If the law has awakened, the public's anger must set the nation straight. That anger is not hatred, but a sacred energy that restores justice.
Kwon Soon-hwal, former editorial writer for the Dong-A Ilbo, cried out:
"Make public to the world the names of the police officials involved in requesting the arrest warrant for former Chairperson Lee Jin-sook, the prosecutor who accepted the request and filed it with the court, and the judge who issued it. If there was even a shred of illegality in the exercise of public power, they must all be subject to criminal complaints and accusations."
That is a shout for justice that speaks the hearts of the people.
Dasan Jeong Yak-yong once said, "Erect a monument for the treacherous official so that they may be remembered forever." Now, the citizens of our time must put these words into practice. We must record the names of those who abused public authority in history and engrave their injustice into the public memory.
Citizens, the Lee Jae-myung regime and its minions have invited this public fury upon themselves. The people's anger has reached a point of no return.
However, this must not be an anger of destruction, but an anger that establishes justice—a **magnanimous (Hoyeonjigi: a noble, righteous spirit)** indignation that restores the Republic of Korea.
By suffering this arrest, Lee Jin-sook has instead been reborn as a hero of the people.
Her resolute will has awakened the public conscience, and that awakening is now spreading across the nation. The law has awakened; now the people must respond.
When public anger is sublimated into justice, this nation will rise again, and freedom will shine once more.
Citizens, wake up! Record the truth, remember the illegality, and protect our freedom. This is a **manifesto (Gyeokmun)** issued by a righteous volunteer, Shin Baek-hoon, to the people, and a final, desperate appeal to protect a free Republic of Korea.
