Seocho-gu (Mayor Jeon Seong-su) announced that the '2025 Seoripul Youth Festival', a festival for youth to fully express their individuality and style, will be held on the 19th.

Hosted by Seocho-gu and co-organized by the Seocho-gu Youth Center and the Bangbae-gu Youth Center, this festival is the district's largest youth festival, now in its fourth year. Local youth directly participate in the planning and operation of the festival, and the program's completeness and participation enthusiasm have been increasing with each iteration.

In particular, this year's festival, themed 'My Own ROAD', reflects the trend of pursuing one's own style among youth. In line with the concept of "pursuing one's own style," which means "one's own taste and image," the festival aims to allow youth to freely explore their individuality, career paths, and emotions through performances and booths that align with this concept, and to find their true selves.

As the festival is being held in the summer for the first time, the programs will take place indoors at the Seocho-gu Office and the Seocho Culture and Arts Center to prepare for the heat. Starting at 11 AM, the lobby of the Seocho-gu Office will be transformed into various experience zones, and the Seocho Culture and Arts Center will be used as a performance venue, offering a cool and enjoyable experience for youth on summer vacation.

First, the experience zone is composed of four areas, each named after an alphabet from the festival's theme 'My Own ROAD': Refresh Zone (R Zone), One & Only Zone (O Zone), Activity Zone (A Zone), and Dream Zone (D Zone). ▲In the Refresh Zone (R Zone), you can discover your desired image through activities like a style test and digital caricatures. ▲In the One & Only Zone (O Zone), you can express your tastes through activities such as making beach bags, making hand mirrors, and decorating keychains. ▲In the Activity Zone (A Zone), you can relieve stress by enjoying experiences like pop drone and AR racing. ▲In the Dream Zone (D Zone), you can experience future career competencies through e-sports and AI photo booths. In addition, promotional booths from affiliated organizations such as the Youth Center, the Mind Recharge Counseling Bus, and Kia/Seocho Police Station will also be operating as pop-ups.

The performance zone, set up at the Seocho Culture and Arts Center, will feature a youth performing arts competition. Attendees can witness impressive performances by youth in various cultural and artistic fields such as dance and vocals. The preliminary rounds saw about 200 participants, showcasing the youth's passion for arts and culture. The finals are expected to be a diverse array of performances including dance, vocals, musicals, orchestral music, and traditional Korean music. Additionally, an awards ceremony for outstanding youth and contributors will be held to recognize those who have shown exceptional achievements in areas such as leadership, volunteerism, creative activities, and filial piety.

Yang Hajin (Yongin Hankuk Academy, 3rd year), who participated as a member of the festival planning group 'YOUTHERS', shared her thoughts, saying, "Preparing for the festival was a time to contemplate what messages youth need." She added, "I hope the youth of Seocho-gu will have a meaningful experience of discovering their 'true selves' through this festival."

Jeon Seong-su, the mayor of Seocho-gu, stated, "I hope this festival becomes a stage for youth to fully express their individuality and style," and "We will continue to expand opportunities for participation so that youth, the protagonists of the future, can proactively chart their own lives."
