Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared on the 13th (local time) that he had "achieved a remarkable victory against Hamas" and pledged to "remain committed to this peace."

According to AP and AFP news agencies, Prime Minister Netanyahu made these remarks while praising Israeli soldiers during his welcoming address ahead of U.S. President Donald Trump's speech to the Knesset (parliament).

He stated, "Today will be recorded in the Jewish calendar as the day the two-year war ended," and offered high praise to President Trump for proposing a peace plan for the Gaza Strip, which led to the first-phase ceasefire agreement.

Prime Minister Netanyahu noted that "everything changed overnight" and expressed his gratitude to President Trump, saying, "Thank you for bringing the surviving hostages back home."

He further emphasized, "President Trump is the greatest friend Israel has ever had in the White House," adding that "no other U.S. president has done more for Israel than he has." He added, "I pay tribute to you. The entire nation of Israel pays tribute to you," and announced that he would bestow Israel's highest honor upon President Trump.
